LL-37 5mg 10mg antibiosis
About LL-37:
LL-37 is a human antimicrobial peptide that plays a critical role in the innate immune system's defense against bacterial infections
Antimicrobial activity:
LL-37 has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, and viral pathogens. It can interact with molecules of the cell wall and perforate cytoplasmic membranes, resulting in bacterial cell death.
Binding affinity:
LL-37 has a strong binding affinity for lipopolysaccharides (LPS), which are released from bacteria in sepsis;
LL-37 is encoded in the human by the CAMP gene. The peptide precursor CAP-18 is processed by proteinase 3-mediated extracellular cleavage into the active form LL-37;
LL-37 levels are increased in gingival crevicular fluid of chronic periodontal disease patients. It may also play a role in the promotion of gingival inflammation by increasing prostaglandin E2 production.
